Default Wood PG's

You don't need a pickgaurd for your pickguard because a good one is made of Rosewood or similar wood species, which is extremely hard, that's why they use it on necks of guitars. John Philbin from Pixotica (on Etsy) makes some great ones! I have PG's (Bolivian Rosewood) from him on both my Taylors. You will wear the guitar top around the pick guard away before you will even scratch one of his pick guards. If you want REALLY hard? Get Ebony. As far as the sound, I notice no difference in tonal quality at all.

Default Adhesive

Somebody asked what do you use to stick the PG onto the guitar. 3M double-sided adhesive tape works great. Comes off easily with a blow dryer.
