One other thing I forgot to mention, if you decide to sell an instrument like this later on, you will get drilled on the straightness of the neck, even if you post the condition of it. In some cases I was thinking a couple of low ball offers was based on no truss rod. I did have the instrument appraised, so I was not swayed by that logic.
