This is a Hapa Model Double Sound Hole acoustic guitar built by world famous luthier Steve Grime. This guitar has a custom body size which is a Classical body size. The woods on this guitar are the finest top quality can buy. Body is 5A Curly Koa back & sides and soundboard is Cedar. This guitar is warm in tone but with a good loud volume, great overtone and bell like trebles and harmonics. Waiting list for a guitar from Steve Grimes is 3 year plus. This is a once in a life time guitar one that will last your whole life of playing. The double sound hole will give the player a great sound of the bass strings. With the strings being so close to the players ear.This design splits the hole and moves it into the upper bout so that a larger, uninterupted area of the soundboard can vibrate. This makes it possible for the bass response of a larger guitar to be acheived in a smaller one. The proximity of the bass side hole makes the sound of the guitar much fuller and louder to the player.The size of the guitar makes for a very comfortable playing size, but with a lot of volume and tone. The body size is like the nylon Hapa, which I would buy if I could find one for sale. Nice guitar.

Very nice! If you don't know, Grimes is the luthier of choice for Keola Beamer, one of the greats of slack-key guitar. I've heard him play Grimes guitars in a non-mic'd, intimate setting, and I can say that they're pretty special.
