Warm as Tears is one of my favorite guitar songs. Can you play it well? Where did you get the tab? I was working on it awhile back, need to try again.

I tune my guitar to DADGAD and play Phil Keaggy's County Down. It never grows old, and if you miss a note or two the tuning automatically helps out and makes it all sound ok.

As for steel string songs, I'd say: Little Martha by The Allman Brothers |

In no particular order...
"A Day in the Life" by The Beatles. (I don't play it "correctly," I just came up with my own arrangement by ear, in D.) "Two Hearts" by the Jayhawks "So. Central Rain" by R.E.M. |

Sexual Healing.
Great song with a really infectious groove (pardon the pun).

Outside Woman Blues (Acoustic) - Eric Clapton
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9oare...eature=related Stellar (Acoustic) - Incubus Love Hurts (Acoustic) - Incubus I Miss You (Acoustic) - Incubus Pardon Me (Acoustic) - Incubus Drive (Acoustic) - Incubus I noticed that I'm one of the younger guys on here (21) and seeing as I learn about a lot of cool songs from you guys from the older generations (no offense) I figured I'd let you guys know about some good sounding songs from my generation you may not have heard of. Check those five songs out, I'm confident you'll enjoy them. Just make sure you listen to the acoustic version and not the originals. |

Forgot to add one...
D.O.A. - Jay-Z and John Mayer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G1soDJzDfL4 I know it's on the electric but I ran through it on acoustic and it sounded pretty good. Plus, it's completely different than any song I've seen on this thread so far. |
