Cool guitar display case

I saw this cool craigs list ad for guitar frame holders. Kind of pricey but pretty neat.

Those are pretty cool, but it would not be difficult to make a custom one of your own.

Here's my take:

1.) For the cost of all those you cold probably have bought another nice guitar.

2.) For the time it takes to make your own, you could instead be playing your guitars.

$250-300 isn't really that bad. I mean, consider that's probably $75 or so if materials for me, to make my own. It's probably a day's worth of work at least to build it and get the materials and any possibly hospital visits to get my fingers sewn back on.

That's only about $20/hr or so. Not a bad wage, but it's not crazy. Granted it doesn't take them that much time to make it or cost that much in materials.

I think they're kind of cool and they don't seem unreasonable to me.

If you look close, they aren't cases, just picture frames with hangers on them. On Craigslist they show 1 with a plastic cover.

Ah. That changes my comment a bit. I thought they were cases. They do appear to just be frames.

Personally, I wouldn’t give ‘em houseroom if they were free.

Understandable. Not saying I would want one but they are still kind of cool.

My music room is set up with frames for the guitars, but not quite like those. You definitely have to have a certain look in your house for those to make sense.
