Default NFL Week 7 ... and then there were two.

Week 7 and the 49ers and Patriots are both unbeaten.

Ouch - Chiefs lost Mahomes last night to an injured knee. Sounds like best case is 3 weeks out. Tough loss for not only the Chiefs but the league. I'm sure a lot of people tune in to watch Mahomes play.

I am a Patriots fan, but Mahomes is fun to watch. He has a unique playing style and makes things happen. Hope he is not out too long.

Same here, David.

I read an article on the Madden Curse? Anyone hear of that? Some of the stars that make the cover of the Madden NFL <<year>> video game end up hurt or in trouble afterwards. This year's cover is Mahomes. Last year's cover was Antonio Brown, 2 years before that was Gronk.

I'm not even a fan of the New York Jets, but here's the situation.

My take is that second-year quarterback Sam Darnold of the Jets just officially washed out of the NFL tonight. A 33-0 loss to New England at home. Darnold went 11 for 32 with four interceptions and a passer rating of 3.6 (out of a possible 158.3).

Darnold will likely be cut outright at the end of the season; Jets will continue to start him, in order to tank: Jets in the running for the Alabama quarterback, along with the Miami Dolphins and Cincinnati Bengals.

There were several promising quarterback prospects available for the Jets to draft a couple of seasons ago: They could have had sensational Lamar Jackson (Baltimore Ravens) or even the athletic strong-armed Josh Allen (Buffalo Bills), for example. On the other hand, Miami's Josh Rosen--also a product of the same draft that produced Darnold--is obviously a genuine bust, and Baker Mayfield (Cleveland Browns--first player taken) continues to demonstrate a descending trajectory.

There's a few good QB's out there for next year... not just Tua.

Default WOW!

After 7 games, the Pats defense has given up only 3 TD's! Well, its been against bottom feeders, you say....this is the NFL, Pro Players, coaches for every thing under the goal posts...and still the Wizard of New England has 'em befuddled. Hope they all stay healthy and play thru a spectacular season

The entire AFC are bottom suckers. It's a bad year all around. Maybe NE will go 19-0. I see they signed another WR - ya know, because the playing field isn't level enough.

Meanwhile, where's LeVeon Bell? That QB can't even do a handoff right? I didn't watch the game. How was the Jets O-line? I'm assuming bad.

Bell was the only bright spot. Pats were basically trolling Donald last night. He looked like he had a mental breakdown during the game. I've never seen that before. He even said during the game, because he was mic'd, "I'm seeing ghosts."

Everyone says the AFC is horrible, which it is kind of... but the Jets beat the Cowboys and the Ravens beat Seattle at home.

How many NFC teams have even beat a decent AFC team this year?

Their D is on another level and they'll get better as the weather gets worse.
