Playing guitar makes me relax.

I love to sip single malt Scotches, but I only drink when I am already relaxed.

Hmmm, I guess I can see a correlation of me playing guitar leading to me drinking. Interesting.

I'm okay with that, but maybe it's a good thing I don't have a chance to play guitar every day, or all day.

It's interesting to see that so many guitars pair so well with a particular alcohol. I suppose I'm lucky in that my main guitar is an all-rounder in that regard.

I don't drink, but happy to hit the vape and happier after I have.

I was more a weed kinda guy when I used to play in bands and gig long ago. Alcohol always made me play worse, and maybe weed did too but at least I *thought* I was playing great. But I'm a teetotaler nowadays, and my guitar as well as my wife and friends and family are happier with that too.

I'm embarrassed to admit that this happened late on a Friday night and tequila was involved. Sloppy as all get-out and terribly miked. I've tried a couple times to cut it again in a tidier fashion while keeping the vibe. Ain't gonna happen.

Me and beer dont get along to well when playing guitar. Drums, worser still. I think I was well into a 4-5 Unita Detour Double IPA's (ABV 9.5) when i did this bit a hackery.

I play much better sober or maybe one/two beers.

One of my favorite youTube videos is the guy who starts off sober playing a drum cover of Tom Saywer and lays into it well after 10 beers. It's pretty funny.

I like country music and a good drinking song now and again. But drinking myself?

Been there, done that, can't do it anymore. I don't even like going to concerts unless I am going with a solid group of sober friends.

I personally stopped drinking alcohol many years ago . . . however . . .

The venues where I play usually distribute communion wine. Does that count?

One of the reasons I cut back on drinking was it interfered with practice. Now I find practicing a great way to relax in itself, then a beer or two on the porch afterwards.

I love booze, but linking booze and playing will make your playing and your life worse, not better. I wish it did not work that way, but it's true.

I’ll drink coffee in the mornings while I play. Odd how the caffeine doesn’t make me jittery.

In the evenings, I’ll have a glass of scotch, usually Johnny Walker Double Black, sometimes Drambuie if I want something sweet. Occasionally I’ll have a glass red wine or a Leinenkugels Summer Shandy, which is a great beer to close the end of a hot summer day spent working outside.

Oh definitely. I like bitter beers and bourbon...

But never on the gig.
