Default NGD Cracks in bridge|Unturnable Truss

Hey guys
I just got a Recording King ROS 616 in the mail yesterday
It was described as new old stock

And I noticed some cracks in the bridge on the treble side
The crack on the high e is going deep through the bridge
The cracks on the adjacent strings are too hard to tell but i dont thiiink(?) they are that deep

I just noticed a hairline crack going along the top of the bass side and a little crack by the saddle. btw thats just a finish crack next to the bridge

On the treble corner of the bridge there is the tiniest bit of separation but only literally on that corner, not along the whole long bottom part of the bridge so i think the person at the factory just didnt spread the glue enough on that corner (this was hard to get a good pic of)

I took a video with my phone to get a look underneath the bridge for cracks in the bridgeplate and for the life of me I dont see any and the glimpses of the bracing that you can see seem to look good aswell, heres the video if you wanna look for yourself.

Also theres a hairline crack at the bottom of the fretboard

I thought while I was at it I might aswell check to see what state the truss rod was in; and boy! I cant even get it to turn the slightest bit!! not even a hairline fraction of a bit! this suckers stuck!

You can see in the second picture theres a glob of (glue?) maybe thats normal? maybe thats whats keeping it from turning? idk

Heres the whole album of pictures including the pics without highlights because sometimes the highlights can make the cracks harder to see

I dont think they kept this baby climate controlled, I also noticed it was shipped with two of those dreaded silica bag things in the case but I doubt that was enough to cause these cracks

Idk what i should do guys
Should i return it?

Well, the silica bag removes moisture, so that's not good.

Yea, send it back. Who knows? Could have happened in shipping? Either way, they are common enough to be able to find another.

I had to return a Recording King RO M9M. I bought it through Musician's Friend and the top had cracked by the neck. Musicians Friend mailed me another one while I was on the phone with them getting the return processed.

The replacement arrived the day after I shipped the broken one and is great.

Looks pretty rough for NOS to me. I’d return it for a refund and buy elsewhere.

Looking at those pics, especially the chewed-up pin-holes and the missing finish on the edge of the sound-hole, I find it very difficult to believe that’s a NOS guitar.

Send it back.

The usual disclaimers apply......IMHO, YMMV etc.

I had two RK's. They were the cheap ROS-06's. Loved the chunky neck and the 12 fret design but both had the bridge pulling up. I sold one with full disclosure and donated the other after a reglue failed.

Those are the last RK's for me but I hope you can find a good reliable one if that is \your decision. Return that dog!
