Miss McCleod’s Reel - Jamie Stillway and Eric Skye
Another tune from the new flatpicking duo of Jamie Stillway and yours truly. One of our favorite tunes to jam on; Miss McCleod’s Reel, which originates from eighteenth century Scotland. I learned the melody from Maine fiddler Lauren Rioux.

Have watched this 3 times now, the fluidity of you two’s playing is so great.

Thanks. It was a lot of fun. I think we did that tune there times. Each one -minus the melody at the beginning and end- was wildly different. It was tempting to post all three, but that might have been too nerdy even for me. But yeah, Jamie and I definitely have a lot of ESP going on. I really love playing with her. I feel very fortunate.
