Default "Go Your Own Way"

This Fleetwood Mac classic totally evades me. I just can't understand how the thing works! Right from the start it seems to follow a quirky rhythm that I find impossible to follow. The lyric seems to jump in at just the moment when you least expect and I find the beat hard to follow.
OK, it's me - I know it's me, but I just don't know how to make sense of it.
Is it written in 4/4 or what?
It's such a great track but it's driving me crazy.
Somebody please HELP!

I'm with ya. It's a tricky little pattern. Good luck.

Definitely 4/4 all the way - but the intro is definitely off the beat and tricky.
Once the song starts, the 4/4 is pretty clear, even though the vocal is oddly phrased across it.

Acoustic Guitar Magazine published the music a few months back. I'll try to find it.

I have no idea what 4/4 means, but it's a simple song to learn.

It means the standard 4-beats-in-a-bar" rhythmic feel of most rock music. (Do you ever count "1-2-3-4" to get into a tune? That's 4/4... probably....)

Personally, I agree about the meat of the song, but I do find it hard to hear where "1" is in that intro, until the verse gets going.
