Two small bodies, one very small, that I rarely see mentioned on this forum-- probably because both were discontinued after just a few years of production.

A Seagull Grand Artist parlor built in 1998, with solid sitka spruce top and solid East Indian Rosewood back and sides, which I just bought last year from a guy who was selling off his recently deceased uncle's guitar collection. A beautiful sounding guitar, producing much more richness of tone than I'd expected from such a small body--though its previous owner seemed to be a heavy smoker and it took a number of months of airing and playing before it stopped pumping out stale cigarette air with anything like a strum. (Not so bad when finger picked.)

And a nylon-stringed Cordoba Mini R--solid sitka top, Rosewood back and sides. The fretboard is a standard classical one--about 2 inches at the nut and flat, which took some getting used to. It's light as can be but loud, and so small it can even fit on the floor UNDER any airplane seat if there's no room in the overhead. And it has it's own distinctive sound--tuned to A, so there's no disappointment (as can sometimes happen with steel string travel guitars) that its sound is nothing like one's steel string git sitting back home.

Cordoba also sells a standard E tuning set of strings that goes with the Mini but they don't sound very good on such a small body. I often end up tuning the A set down to G in any case.

Default Show us your small bodies!

The Wovoka’ A Custom I crafted from 55 year old seasoned Honduras’ and ‘25 year old seasoned Adirondack Spruce’ one of my personal guitars. L-00 in size but deeper body. completed February 2018’. I don’t build guitars to sell. I built and sold a few 30 years ago. Kept my small stash of old wood over the years. I’m now Retired and building a few for pleasure. One guitar a year til I turn 70. 6 sets left to go.

My Wide Sky PL1 with Mule mini-humbucker pickup. This guitar has taken quite a beating.

This is a Collings C-10 mh Custom - TV Yellow doghair finish with Mother of Toilet Seat appointments.

This Larrivee is a little more traditional. Its a 00-70. Larrivee made three of these in 2007.

Wow, if that sounds anywhere near as good as it looks, then you must be one very talented builder!
