Quick cover of “Blackbird”
I know this track may seem a little cliche to some, but it has always been one of my favorite songs to play and a fantastic way to check intonation/tuning on any given guitar! It’s also fifty years old as of last month — I think it has aged pretty well
I’ve sung/played this song for my kiddos as a lullaby, and recently I’ve been playing it for them with a capo on the second fret and singing a little lower and softer. Today I wondered what it might sound like with another vocal or two, so I decided to give it a go. Here it is — just a quick take with another track and a half of vocal/guitar: |

Very nice!
I don't find it cliched at all. Our annual family gathering (The Chicken Stew) is always underscored by homemade music from fireside performances to full-blown jams. I played my version of "Blackbird" for my elder cousin who is a consummate guitarist and performer for over 40 years and it intrigued him to the point of exclaiming that he needed to learn it. I never get tired of playing it! Now if I could only sing it... |

I wish I had family members who played — my daughter picked it up this year, but she’s a first-grader so it may require some patience on my end Thanks to you both! |

Austin!
That was very cool! Well done! And did I hear a little harmony in there, maybe from a female voice? Really nice job on one of my favorites! Cool! - Glenn

There are three vocals in there — all mine: the melody that I recorded with guitar on the main track, a harmony on all but the first verse plus some gentle double tracking of the guitar, and then the third track has a little bit of secondary harmony in the chorus that’s a little higher in range. Sometime I would love to record with a female vocalist/player! |

Very nicely done! Neat and clean, good vocals too.
I would have thought you used a Play Acoustic or something similar for your harmony lines. You are very good at singing over yourself. Good job.

Nice playing and vocals.
Lullaby? Waiting for this moment to arise, when you want them to lay still? |

I had to look up the Play Acoustic — seems like something that would be awesome for a solo artist to use in layering loops and such in a live setting. Pretty cool. Haha! Good call. Thanks |
