Default New original: "Lavender Bloom"

Hi folks...and happy Friday!!
Just wanted to share a new tune from the spring/summer which has recently been recorded.........."Lavender Bloom". This is played on my Jeff Bamburg FSC (thanks Jeff!)...in CGCGCD capo 2 ( I think!).
We arrived at our driveway this summer while I was in the midst of composing this, and witnessed all our lavender flowers in full bloom. Possibly 100 or more honey bees darting in and out getting their "fill"........amazing sight!! It struck me at the time that the bees moving in and out of the flowers was kind of like the little pull-offs in this piece at the beginning and end........and hence the name.
Hope you enjoy!
Regards,
Fred

That’s wonderful, Fred. You caught me off guard at around 1:27, some beautiful and unexpected chord changes. Really wonderful composition, sound and playing!

Very nice Fred!

I noticed that same change that Larry mentioned at 1:27! Very cool shift! Lovely recording, lovely playing, and lovely sounding guitar! You and your wife always come up with just the right names for your compositions! Excellent choice!

Thanks, Glenn!! Yes, it was my wife who mentioned about the bees......we're just sitting there and these bees are going nuts darting in and out....everything in bloom. Those little pull offs just struck us as the same little "in and out's" that those bees were providing us that day. Just kind of hit home for an un-named tune that was brewing.
Glad you liked the transition/shift.........just messing around and using the ol' ear, if you know what I mean!! LOL!
Best always,
Fred

Good morning Barry! Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed. Thanks also for the compliment on the recording......pretty simple set-up.........I think the key has been: the room....(dining room with higher ceilings ) and broad band panels in a little cluster........always messing around, but a few things have been nailed down over the years. Thanks again!
Fred
