I traded this one to Robert and, after many amazing guitars over the years, I very much consider this the "one that got away."

It represents all the good things you know, or have heard, about the SC Deep Body OM/PW.

Cool guitar. I have grown to love the abalone purfling. Richard Hoover does not just build guitars, he looks at each build as a masterpiece.

Thanks and I totally agree. I always considered SCGC to be essentially a custom shop. All the ab on this guitar is fairly understated, in keeping I guess with the fact that it is a PW. As an example, here's the simple thin strip of ab at tail wedge:

The rounded heel is common on Santa Cruz cutaways, so the curve blends seemlessly into the neck. It’s a style thing.
