Default Taylor 710 Brazilian Rosewood guitar

Absolutely beautiful Taylor 710 Brazilian Rosewood guitar, #970328120, with original hardshell case. $2,400. Sounds like heaven. Just not getting played; gotta get it into the hands of someone who will. Gold Grover tuners and strap button; no on-board pickup system. Pretty close to flawless...

I'm in the Seattle area and sorry, not shipping this baby anywhere -- too paranoid about shipping problems and payment hassles, FYI. But maybe someone in the area is interested! Give me a yell if you'd like more info.

(Sorry about the image sizes!) I'll update with better images when I can.

Beauty. If I were in your neck of the woods, this would be an instant sale for you.

Good Luck!

Yeah, it kills me to part with it, it's such a nice guitar. But my current ones don't get played enough as is, and I wouldn't be gigging with this one either. It was my brother's for years, purchased new, and he never played it, and he needed some money a year or two ago so I took it off his hands. It needs a better home though!

Default Beautiful Guitar....

Great looking guitar.

If you are not getting takers here you should check out the Unofficial Taylor Guitar Forum at www.unofficialtaylorguitarforum.com and post it there. This thing will sell quickly there.

Cedar top?

You are really limiting yourself if it is a "pick up" only situation. Especially when you can get paid via PayPal (secure) and ask the buyer to pay for full insurance on freight.

I think it's cedar, yes but not sure. I'll see if I can nail that down. Good point on the selling locally, but I'm just too paranoid -- although if too much time goes by, I suppose I'll have to consider doing that. Thanks for the tip...

Was under the impression that the 710s of those years were Englemann spruce. Taylor can confirm, but that's what I recall.

You may well be right -- I'm just guessing! Not sure how I'd determine that aside from emailing Taylor directly; I'll give that a try. Thank you!

As it turns out, you have to have posted at least thirty times to put something up for sale there! Oh well...

Update here -- Just spoke to Chris at Taylor about this guitar -- very helpful. This is a solid Brazilian Rosewood back & sides Model 710 with an Engleman Spruce top. It listed at $4,148 at the time it was new in 1997, and was part of a group of annual year-end special-run of guitars only sold to top dealers. I'll be posting some more requested specs on it tonight -- nut and bridge width; bout measurements, etc. (although I know it's a 1-3/4 nut).

Well so much for my nut measurement. Here's some updated specs:

Nut width is 1 and 11/16.
Bridge string spacing is 2 - 3/16.
Upper bout width: 11 - 3/4"
Upper bout depth: 3 - 3/4"
Lower bout width: 15 - 3/4"
Lower bout depth: 4 - 3/8"
Body length is 19 - 7/8"
20 frets, 14 to the body.

Need any other info, let me know!
