Are there images for Rainsong? Or other images that sound good? Has anybody tried this?

I haven't tried it myself because I got my Rainsong without electronics.

But there are four images each for these guitars: JM3000, CO-OM1000N1, BI-WS1000N2, DR1000

All four have two images using Shure SM57 and DPA 4011 mics. All but the the DR1000 use a Schoeps CMC64G and a Neumann KM84 for the other two. The DR1000 uses a Soundelux E47 and a Neumann M147 for the other two.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for that info, very helpful. I wonder if the OM images might be a good match for the Shorty

They should be the best of the four. The body size and top are the same. The only real difference is hybrid vs all-carbon back and sides—which I don't think should matter much. And I don't think the neck length should make a difference.

That said, my experience with my Seagull is that matching images is something of a black art. The ones you think would be the best match aren't necessarily the best ones. So I'd definitely try all sixteen to see which sounds best to you.

Hey Penny
I have the Fishman aura spectrum. #14 on the Dread settings is billed as a composte guitar image. There is no mention of brand or style of guitar. I have used it with my rainsong and it is a vast improvement over the "Streight to the Board" sound, to my ears. It removes some of the quack and adds some warmath. Having the compressor is also a nice addition.

I have the old Jumbo Aura Pedal with 12? images. I found several that worked well with my JM1000. Gets it a more woody warmth.
