Thanks for doing this. My parents always enjoyed live music at their center. Dad use to confirm very few were asked to turn it down.

Wow, that's quite a setup.

I haven't played with that many people at once since the 70's

Looks more like a senior center "open mic"! Regardless, it looks like a lot of fun. Good for you for making it happen. I'm sure it brightened a lot of folks day!

That's great you are able to do that. The one my aunt is in is still shut down for covid. We can go see her, but only by appointment, in the lobby, keeping 6 ft distance and only 1 visitor at a time. A lot of folks have family there, so that equates to getting an appointment maybe once every 10 days.

Very cool, great pics!

Glad you all got out to play. My group is still shut down, but I'm thinking aobut asking the Senior Center near me if we could get a Sunday afternoon spot.

Congratulations!

Very nice. I usually try to do some music for care centers. Wonderful audience!
in the past, someone mentioned that if YOU don’t play for these folks, no one will. Thanks for posting. Going to contact a few centers now and see if I can get in now……

When I was taking guitar lessons in grade school and Junior High my guitar teacher would setup a "show" for the local nursing home once a year. It was fun and the residents appreciated it.

when my mom-in-law was in assisted living there was a duo that would play once a week. I think it was husband and wife and once in a while they would have a third person.

Their favorite song was Light My Fire. I always got a chuckle out of that at a nursing home.

That looks very much like a jam I go to at my local VFW. We call it the Show Up Band - who ever shows up. In addition to the musicians, people get up and sing. They'll ask if I know thus-and-such a song. Sometimes I do, but usually I answer, "I will in a minute."

Very cool! Reminds me of when I used to give a message and serve communion at similar venues. A blessing for all. Well played (see what I did there?), my friend.
