Don't know, Dave, haven't figured it out yet. No sign of a TF on the Taylor website that I could find.

Maybe it's that simple, Bob.

To the OP's question:
You can order a new Taylor with one of several neck profiles, including thicker ones, Vs, etc. Taylor's "Neck Shapes and Dimensions" from 2006 shows Standard (.84), Slim (.79), V (.835) I have Taylors and the off-the-rack ones do have the shallow C profile you mentioned, for which I also don't care. However, my Ltd 12-fret (spring '14) came with a nicely chunky profile that feels like a shallow V, and may have measured a few thousands of an inch deeper (can't find my sheet or my caliper just now). That neck always feels thicker/fuller than the one on the off-the-racks. So, order one, buy a used custom ordered one, or look for a used off-the-rack 12 fret that might have the chunkier feeling neck. |

If you never fell in love with the "stunning" guitar, what does that tell you?

I have owned over a dozen Taylor’s (including a Taylor slot-head 812) . In general, the neck will be very, very similar to the other models you have owned. If those did not work for you, the slot head will likely not work either. However - I will say that the 812 was a fantastic little guitar. Keep in min that the body shape is similar in size to a Martin 000, so it is not a “parlor” guitar.

Like you, I've found the typically thin necks on Taylors have been offputting to me. So much so, that I earlier this year I ended up getting rid of my Taylor 150e 12-string (which had been my church band guitar for 2 years), and my Taylor AD27, due to the thinness of their necks resulting in me having a sore fretting hand, when I played them. Due to a brief interest in the GT Urban Ash model, I contacted Taylor, to find out if the neck was at least a little bit chunkier than the necks on the GS Mini I had a few years ago, and the 150e, and AD27 I had gotten rid of a few months ago. I was informed that it had the same thin neck profile (which I was told, was considered by Taylor, to make its guitars easier playing [I beg to differ]) as all of the other Taylors. So, with that in mind, more than likely, the Taylor 12-fret you're interested in has the typical thin neck that other Taylors have.
It's too bad, I like Taylors, they're well made guitars, but I just don't care for the necks (the only necks I like less are the necks Martins have). I still haven't been able to find an all hog guitar to replace my AD27 (yeah, the sides and back were sapele, but it looked and sounded very similar to mahogany IMO), that sounds as good as my old AD27 did, doesn't have a thin and/or narrow neck, and doesn't cost over $2000 to boot.
