Default Is It Forever (original)

This one's not high on the "complex fingerstyle guitar" scale, but here's a fun video for a fun song I just completed. It was inspired by names & initials I saw written on sidewalks while I was taking walks. I saw one, "Jim & Della Forever 1972" and wondered... is it? Whatever happened to them? What about all the other people who put names and initials in the concrete?

Just about all the sidewalk markings are from around my neighborhood.

For those interested in the recording details, it was played on an Ibanez AC340 (inexpensive 00-size "mahogany" guitar I bought just for the dry, chunky sound for this project) with Martin Retro Monel strings, which was recorded with two Line Audio CM4s in XY. Vocals tracked with a 3U Audio Warbler MKID, and everything into a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 and Reaper. Video shot on a Canon 5D and Samsung Galaxy S21 phone, and edited in Premiere Pro.

Jeff, this is a wonderful tune!! Incredibly creative theme and just down right interesting and cool to listen to. I have those same kinds of thoughts about those from the past and the "whatever happened to them" moments all the time.
Great playing......just really enjoyed this one.
Best,
Fred
