I just bought tickets to see Rhiannon Giddens with Francesco Turrisi who are scheduled to play in a great local theater in a couple of months. It will be our first live concert in well over a year.

I had extensive foot surgery on both feet and have been living in a chair since last October...just starting to put some weight on the "new feet"...I'm looking forward to walking. I was however able to play guitar during my recovery...guitar has been such a great support throughout my life.

I’m due to see Richard Thompson in Glasgow in October. Fingers crossed it goes ahead.

I hope it goes well, we don't appreciate our bodies until they stop working properly.

Be well!

Are you seeing him in Tanglewood Rich? We were talking about that one. Great venue.

A singer/keyboardist and I have been assembling a new cover band - with COVID and us being very methodical, it's been in the works for two years.

Our co-lead-vocalist is having a big party so we decided to play that party as our first official gig on July 4th.

Gotta share a funny quote from one of the other regulars last night. She was at the bar ordering when she heard someone singing and turned to see who it was. She said "I was surprised to see that it was you because I actually liked it!"

Thanks, I think!

We both chuckled and she rephrased to say that since it was a different style song than I normally sing, she just assumed it was someone else.

No….Payomet Center is closer to home. But Tanglewood would be delightful!

I have some friends who saw him a couple of years ago…they told me to be sure and see him this year.

That should be a great show. He comes to the Academy of Music in Northampton frequently and he puts on a fantastic show. You should have a wonderful time. Enjoy.

I'm looking forward, I mean really looking forward, to being done with Chemotherapy.

I retired 12/23/20 and found out the cancer was back on 12/28/20 so retirement hasn't gotten off to a great start.

I have CT scan next month and a visit with the Oncologist. I'd really like to go ahead with surgery and get the whole thing over with (the cancer is confined to 1 lymph node). We will see. Being tired all the time, half sick all the time is not a great life so looking forward to being healthy and getting out there and having some fun.

Daughter got married two weeks ago, son gets married in a few months. Both to spouses that I like very much.

And three solo acoustic gigs just fell into my lap. Been a while since I played in public, should be fun.

It won’t be this summer, but I look forward to hitting up some of my favorite music festivals (with camping and late night jamming).

A couple things, I guess...
  • June 29 will be the last day of my last Masters Degree class. I'll be officially a smart guy then. Masters in Healthcare Management.
  • June 2021 marks the end of my 3 year guitar buying moratorium. I'm looking at Fender Custom Shop Teles to shake off the moratorium blues. Don't tell any of my acoustic friends.

That's a priceless thing, to have the kids happy and married to nice people. Good for all of you!
