Default Bourgeois Custom OMS **SOLD**

Up for sale is this exquisite Bourgeois OMS I bought new from Down Home Guitars in 2019. Guitar is totally custom. Redwood top with a killer purple-to-orange sunburst bound in custom marquetry. Back and sides are English Walnut with kaleidoscopic chevron stripes in brown, tan and orange hues. B&S are bound in cocobolo. Lots of colors, all tastefully put together. The OMS shape is less squared off than the typical OM, more of a 000-12 fret but with a 25.5" scale. Compared to an OM it's slightly longer and narrower and has a rounder, more natural shape. Very cool.

This guitar just rings. The redwood top does nothing to limit projection. It's loud and sustains with complex overtones. Tone is resonant, open, airy, clear, articulate, and balanced. Its longer scale gives you that little extra tension and feedback into your hands, and adds serious punch and snap to the tone. Plays effortlessly with low E a tick under 3/32 at 12th fret. There's one tiny indent on headstock back edge less than 1/8", guitar is otherwise unmarked.

Specs out as follows:

Year: 12/2018
Top: Redwood
B&S: English Walnut, bound in black/maple purfling and cocobolo binding

Hey thanks, Tom. Appreciate the kind words. Hope you're enjoying the Sands. That was one of the best threads ever, watching it come together, your narrative, and your fine playing. That guitar leaves me speechless!....Robert

Hey there Nate, great to hear from you. From that list of fine guitars in your sig it doesn’t look like you’re gonna be done anytime soon

This is tempting. The sunburst is as beautiful as it gets, and the OMS is probably the best sounding shape in the Bourgeois lineup for fingerstyle. And the Redwood-Walnut combo, well... Besides, this Walnut is special, I was close to ordering an OMS in English Walnut as well, but they charge 1.400 extra for it. Anyway, are you sure you want to sell it?
