Default Euro "2020"

Anyone watching? I'm doing god in my UEFA fantasy league - went "heavy" on the Italians - Immobile was my captain, Berardi was a gamble, and I have Donnarumma the whole tournament. The Danes tie w/the Finns hurts them. I thought the Turks would have more to give. Wales may be a sneaky outsider. Ditto Ukraine. And the Poles...

Matchday 1 has a lot more good matches to come!

It was quite shocking to see Eriksen collapse so dramatically. Thankfully he's awake and responding in hospital now.

Indeed. He's been a good soldier for Denmark. Eriksen was on my UEFA Fantasy team, along with Simon Kjaer, their captain. I've always liked Eriksen, as a player. He had some great moments with Spurs.

Prayers for Eriksen, his wife (who was there and went out onto the pitch when he went down), and his to kids...

Yep. It's always scary to see something like that. I wish him the very best.

Finnish and Danish Soccer Fans Chant in Support of Christian Eriksen:

Apparently, Eriksen is able to talk. I just hope it isn't anything too serious.

The teams decided to play the game to the end, the same evening. Finland won with one goal.

Default look out!

Spain will be a force to contend with! Watching them dominate Sweden-completely dominate- was an eye opener! The Swedes' goalie(Olson) was spectacular. Two different styles...what a chess match

Looks like the Italians are the team to beat. If Ukraine can get thru this stage, they could upset someone. Ditto Wales. I think Belgium's beatable. France and Italy are strong on both ends of the pitch. Portugal looks good, as does England - the Germany/Portugal match will tell a lot about both teams chances.

The Dutch may be resurging, as an international power. Spain, to me, lacks any offence, and are beatable.

This is shaping up to be a fantastic knock-out round! The style match-ups are the key. Gli Azzurri sono belli

Possession counts for nothing if you don't score.

Indeed! I fancy a Germany v France or Italy final. Czechs were impressive tonight, especially Modric - bad luck on Scotland, but they will be back. England look toothless up front - Kane is dead wood yet again as he was at the last tournament. My vote for dark horse goes to Wales - if Bale can find his shooting boots!!

The Dutch! Out via red card. Schick has been brilliant for the Czech's.

The Italians almost got bounced, as well. Austria's fans should be proud.

Germany/England. A must see game. England needs more offence, outside Sterling.

It's been a great tournament thus far. If England can beat the Germans, their next game may not be so difficult.

If anyone is puzzled why football is the most popular spectator sport in the world, you only have to watch todays games to see why.

Spain 3 - Croatia 3 at full time. Spain score twice in extra time to go through(5-3)

France 3 - Switzerland 3 at full time. France leading 3 - 1 at 80 minutes. Switzerland score twice to force extra time. Chances for both teams in ET. But it's a penalty shoot out. Mbappe has shot saved. The Swiss go through 5 - 4 on pens.

These two games had everything. Own goals, saved penalties and great goals.

I feel exhausted just watching it!

Well said. Countries like North Macedonia - the whole nation is behind the team. Ditto every team in the Euro. Would it not be great to be in a pub in the UK tomorrow w/the lads, pulling pints while they try and finally conquer the Germans?! This, coming from an Irishman from New York!

Keep watching. Great matches lie ahead!
