Song - Cover - Isle of Hope (Ellis Island)
This was the favourite song of a much-loved uncle of mine who died last year. He in fact sang it on Ellis Island when visiting there some time ago (they didn't ask him to but he sang it anyway, and I understand he had gathered quite a croud by the end).
It's a nice song - if a bit sentimental - by a great Irish songwriter (Brendan Graham) - about emigration, and may resonate particularly with people who are descended from emigrants to America. My version drags a bit - I should have shortened or left out the little breaks between verses but I hope you enjoy it. Thanks for listening and if you have any thoughts please do share in the comments: edit: I just realised I must have recorded as a stereo track (I did it in one take, guitar and vocal into separate mics) so if you are listening through phones you are going to have me in one ear and the guitar in the other - sorry! Should sound fine through a speaker though.

Nice job Coler.
My family came through there back in the early 1900's.
