Default For Sale: Westerly Built JF30

Up for sale is a mid 90’s Westerly built Guild JF30 (serial#AJ301205). The Date Your Guild Guitar web site puts this as a 1994 build, but when I bought this guitar four years ago, the seller claimed it was a 1996 build. In either case, this is a Westerly build and if you know Guild’s history, then you know that the Westerly builds were special - this guitar is special.

The guitar has a spruce top with an arched maple back and sides. The neck is a two piece maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard. The tuners are gold Grovers. The pickguard the classic tortoise. The pics below show no cover for the truss rod. I have the cover but it is chipped so I leave it off. I will include the cover with the guitar.

The guitar comes with the OHSC with the classic Guild script printed on the lower front bout. The case has seen some miles and gigs and moves. No worries though as it is fully functional with no structural issues. Two years ago. I replaced the carrying handle. The work was done by a professional leather / luggage repair person.

This guitar is a player and so it has a few minor dings. The dings do not impact the guitar’s big voice or playability. The dings do not show up in the pics as they are to photograph and hard to find. The action is low to medium with plenty of saddle should you want to bring it down. I use d’addario 12-53’s and so that is what has been on this guitar for the last four years. When not being played, this guitar is stored in its case in a smoke free, controlled environment.

I would like to get this guitar in the hands of its third owner (I am the second), and so I have priced this guitar accordingly at $875. I will pay shipping, but will only ship to the lower 48. I will consider different payment methods but a money order or PayPal would be preferred.

If you’re looking for the classic voice and tone of an American built jumbo, look no further!

If you look inside the guitar at the neck block, there is often a date stamp on one of the bevels on either side of the neck block.
GL with the sale!

Big voice is right! I've got the 12-string version, and it is just a killer 12-string. Man, that's a great price. Good luck with your sale!

Sold this afternoon. I’m new here and couldn’t figure out how to edit the thread title. But did want to thank those that looked - but she has found a new home.
