I’ll second the Road to Hana on Maui recommendation, but go on one of the tour vans. If you drive yourself, the driver won’t get to see much while being so focused on the road, and I assume it takes awhile to unclench your hands from your steering wheel. (We took the van.)

I've driven the Road to Hana, very cool but I was exhausted by the end of it.

Taking a tour van is a good idea.

I agree. The second half on the way home is not a lot of fun for the driver. But a trip not to be missed.

Also enjoyed Mama's Fish House and Haleakala. Other than Honolulu, Maui is the only place I've been in Hawaii. I'd go back in a minute.
