Easy Songs for Picking Party
Like several here I’m concentrating on fingerpicking blues. I’m reasonably happy with my progress but I’m not sure the songs I’m working on are the best for me to try to play at the Tuesday night picking party I’ve been doing. I’m thinking about trying to get memorized some really easy songs I can fingerpick and sing that others can pick or strum along with and sing. I’ve done Railroad Bill and Don’t Think Twice with variable success. Some others I’ve thought of are House of the Rising Sun and Midnight Special. I figured I can find some easy versions of those and either play simple arpeggios (the former) or simple Travis patterns (the latter). Other suggestions are welcome and bonus points for videos or tabs showing simpler arrangements.
