Thanks, Shawlie! I'm glad to get the second one out, haha! The little melody you're talking about was the first little bit of this song that came into existence. Just happened to find it while noodling one day, we all know how that goes.

Thanks for watching,I appreciate it!

Covers may be fun, but now you're making music!!
Thanks, Rich! Yeah, doing covers is a lot of fun, and I'm usually able to get a little creative with them. But I've always wanted to write songs and use more creativity. Writing songs really fulfills that. Won't be giving up on the covers anytime soon, but I'll be working my originals into my busking gigs a lot more, now.

Thanks for watching!

Thanks Willie! Hmmm, you may be onto something! Actually, when I typed that, I thought of a similar line from the Mark Knopfler/Emmylou Harris song, "Beachcombing"

Thanks for watching!

Hi Kyle,

I see the Eagle has landed! I like the simplicity and soulfullness of the song. I really like your use of dynamics - makes it interesting. Congrats on a really nice job. Thanks for sharing this with us. Do you find it is more intimidating sharing originals than covers?

Steve

Thanks, Steve! Glad you enjoyed this one. Yes, I do find it a little more intimidating to share my originals. These first two were not so bad. Even though they are "my babies" I don't feel like they were all that revealing of me personally. The next couple of songs I've been working on will be a bit more interesting, I think, because they are more personal, and less whimsical. We shall see how I hold up.

Thanks for watching!

Very nice. The jazzy chordal melody at the beginning is fantastic. Nice job.

Nice bluesy edge to it. I really like your vocal range and at the 1:50 mark going into the guitar playing broke up the song nicely.

Thanks for sharing brother.

Kyle,

That is a very good song. Very nice! Nice arrangement, melody and more. It's easily accessible for most people (my opinion) sounds current, and really shows a maturity in your songwriting. I must admit I didn't know (or forgot-I am old) you did originals. I dont care about the faces-what came out of your mouth sounded very nice indeed. Who cares how about your faces when it sounds so wonderful? If you cant tell, this song really impressed me Kyle. I would suggest you do a more professional recording of it. I'd be a buyer if you did.

Really good Kyle.

Mark

Thanks, Mark, and for the added comment on YouTube. I've posted one or two originals in the past, but mostly covers. I'm actually taking this year to really devote some time to writing. I create a lot of instrumental stuff, just never developed it into full songs very often, or add lyrics. So you're not that old, or forgetful.

Thanks for watching!
