I like the Dunlop Jazz IIIs because they are stiff and sharp. That enable me to be precise when fast flat-picking. I can dig in really hard and get louder with that stiff pick, or lay back and play softer for a softer sound. I hate floppy picks and rounded points, as they tend to be imprecise and lag behind. When my sharp tip starts to get rounded-off, it goes in the pile of picks that I use as fire-starting materials (they make great camp fire starters). I prefer the Jazz III XL to the regular Jazz III because I can hold onto the XL better.

Only a Spiderco pocket knife, probably not a good choice.

I am at the studio. There's nothing on my person (they wear out so quickly) but fifteen feet away in a Taylor guitar case are four Dunlop USA .71(powder puff pink), six Fender Mediums, a Fender Thin, and an orange Fred Kelly Speed Pick labeled "Pat Kirtley" that he gave me at a clinic in 2000.

Those two at the top right used to ride in my watch pocket with the daily carry Swiss Army knife. All the print wore off and they are rounded off as well.

Basic celluloid .73 Fender-style with my own logo, phone number, and website printed on it. I'm using a Tusq BA 1.00 a lot more for acoustic though. Less clicking noise, and a stronger tone.

Ha ha. Yeah, you'll go through a few sets of strings trying to play with that. I usually have one of my Zero Tolerance 0560 or 0561s in my pocket. And a thumb drive full of important documents (seriously).

Always keep an Ultex Jazz III XL in my small jeans pocket because I’m invariably without one when I need it.

Alrighty then... what nail care products are in your pocket?

I used to keep a Diamond Deb file and some.600 grit sandpaper handy when I mostly played with nails.

My left pocket has a couple of my Premium series thumbpicks. My watch pocket has a couple of my picks, couple of Tusq beige 1.00 and a Clayton 0.88 Ultex triangle. And because I'm forgetful, all of them are really clean because my wife finds them in the washer about once a week.
