Default Anybody tried the new Furch Vintage series???

I know they're quite new and more popular in Europe. Wondering if anybody has gotten their hands on one yet?

Funny you should ask

It is, in a word, amazing.
If feels a bit lighter in build then my Furch D25 with a drop more airiness to the sound. And it has all the sustain, Depth, complexity, volume, and dynamics I’ve come to love about furch guitars. It is a keeper for sure, as is the D25

Not sure the sound can be improved upon but I have Bob Colosi sending me a bone saddle, just because we can

Eventually I’m going to order a Red G CR-C with a 1 11/16 nut.

I dont think a lot has changed tonally compared to the previous vintage series models (30-35). Its more that they have just streamlined the options.

I have a great admiration for what they are doing over in prauge, truly outstanding instruments. Top drawer build quality and tone that will go toe to toe with anything out there. The best value you can get in a high end maker in my opinion.

I know this thread is a little old but I just wanted to say (without creating a new thread) that I came across a Furch Vintage 2 round shoulder dread and it was the finest playing and sounding guitar I’ve ever touched. I’m absolutely floored. It kind of disrupted my honeymoon with my new Martin if I’m being completely honest. Luckily the Matin is a mahogany 000 with monel strings, so a totally different vibe… now I just gotta scrape up another $2500

How would you compare it to your Boucher?

I love mine, the Vintage 1 series, the price was awesome it plays wonderful. With the addition of the LR Baggs Anthem it has become my favorite guitar to play out with. The tone is sweet kind of between a Martin and a Taylor, I had it set up when they put pickup in and the already great playability became suburb and the price made it the least expensive i have. I would have loved to try a 2 or 3 series.

I have a 1 also. Rosewood dread with square shoulders. I’ve tried to sell it but, due to lack of interest have been playing it daily. Love everything about it, tone playability, finish..

The neck profile is a tad wide (as opposed to deep) for my left hand, otherwise I’d be bragging without reservation. But I’m working on it. The guitar is worth the effort, just hope I’m up to the challenge.

PS..definitely hear the Martin in it, especially the bass. No experience with Taylor though.
