Question Yamaha L Series (Then vs Now)

I’m looking for a 1977 (birth year) L-15. Tough find! There’s all sorts of information on these 75-81 ver 1. sweet spot models, some are made in Japan & others Taiwan. Recently I’m hearing rave reviews from the LL-26. So I search YouTube for a sound test L-15 vs LL26 but nothing that’s vintage vs New. Anyone here have a 70’s L-15+ (or higher) series 1 (75-77) and a LL-26+ (or Higher). Would love to hear those through a microphone. Anyone had both of these guitars?

Not apples to apples but I once owned a 1981 Yamaha L-20A and currently own an LL-16D.

I never had them at the same time to do an A?B with them but I can tell you that both are great sounding guitars.

The L-20A had a 3 piece back, which I loved.
The LL-16D has beautiful Abalone trim.

My go to guitar is a Martin D-35.
All guitars are judged against the D-35.
Both the L-20A and the LL-16D hold their own against the Martin.

When you find an L series Yamaha no mater the model or year, you will have a great sounding and well built guitar.

I have a 1981 L-10A. It’s an all solid rosewood dread with 28 style appointments save for the rosewood bridge and board. It is in remarkably excellent shape with original case. Not a scratch on the guitar. Tonally it reminds of a straight braced Mossman I once owned. Very forceful and projective.
