Altman Zebrawood A60
A remarkable early guitar from Bob Altman. Altman has become known as luthier of some of the finest golden era-style guitars and mandolins and prices have gone stratospheric (I also have an Altman D2 guitar and an F-5 mandolin). This guitar is from the early days of Altman guitars, when he was building beautiful fingerstyle-oriented guitars out of interesting woods with unique construction features. The zebrawood on this one is amazing.
This is an A60-CJ and has the following specs: Zebrawood back and sides Spruce top Mahogany neck Rosewood fretboard and bridge 1 3/4" neck with a zero fret, 2 1/8" spacing at the saddle, 25.4" scale length 16 3/4" width at lower bout, 12 1/16" width at upper bout, 10" at waist, 4 3/4" depth, 20 11/16" length of body The guitar is built lightly, and has the finely carved braces that Altman was known for. It sounds and plays great, and is very responsive in standard tuning, open tunings, and drop tunings. Very comfortable C-shaped neck. ABS RoadRunner case. Excellent condition, with some B-string fret wear but fine as-is, no dents, dings or scratches. $1850 net to me, shipping included. Last edited by tenonsix; 03-25-2024 at 03:51 PM. |

Bumping up this wonderful Altman! I had it listed a while ago, but decided to keep it. Now it's time to move it on.
