Carvin AG200 Amplifier Main Circuit Board
My Carvin AG200 acoustic amp died and the repair tech tells me the main circuit board is shot. Have any of you had this happen with this amplifier and what if anything were you able to do to resolve it (since Carvin is out of business). Thanks in advance.

I'm not familiar with that amp, but the schematic is available right on their website. Sounds like the tech just doesn't want to do the component level troubleshooting required to fix it. I'd see if someone else would check it out, or if you know someone skilled in electronics repair with the equipment to do surface mount device work, see if they'll check it out for you.

Hey Michael,
To what extent is the amp 'dead'? - No sound, no lights. - No sound, but LED lights are lit when enabled (+48 or Effects). - When powering on does the speaker make any sound (thump, hum, or other)? |
