Default C Blues Lick # 3 From Toby Walker

Hi gang,

I love sharing these with you. I've found they come in awfully handy when playing a blues progression.

Many times I've been asked if one should memorize them. IMO, if you've never improvised before then yes, by all means, memorize the ones that speak to you. See how many places you can add them to your songs.

Next, try changing them around a little bit. This process will help improve your creativity as well as your ear.

Eventually, you won't have to memorize every lick in order to improvise... they will come to you quite naturally.

Have fun!!
