Default Norlund Guitars (First pics)

Here is a picture of the Ziricote back and the Koa that will be used for the binding and rosette. I'll post more as I get them.

As soon as the New Sponsor post went up I talked with Henrik on Skype and ordered this guitar the very next day. He was genuinely happy to discuss my vision down to the smallest of details.

Build:
- Jumbo body
- Sitka Top
- Ziricote B/S
- Ebony board
- Ebony armrest
- Ebony peghead and backstrap
- Ebony bridge
- Flame maple neck with 2 ebony strips and burst finish
- Highly figured Koa backstrip
- Highly figured Koa binding
- Highly figured Koa Fret board and headstock binding
- Abalone purfling top, sides, back, fretboard extension, fretboard, and headstock
- Abalone and Koa rosette
- Matching headstock rosette
- Custom Norse God abalone/MoP fretboard inlay (my design)
- Reindeer Horn nut/saddle
- Gotoh 510 gold tuners with Ebony buttons
- Slim C neck
- 1.75 nut width
- nitrocellulose finish

Hoping for a June Delivery.

That's some really pretty Ziricote...and the flamed Koa bindings will look sharp. What did you mean by "matching headstock rosette"? Also...can you show us your design for the "Custom Norse God abalone/MoP fretboard inlay"?

Joel

A beautiful set of Ziricote. Reindeer horn for the nut and saddle?, so close to Christmas?. How does the hardness of horn compare to that of bone on average?. It will be nice to watch this come together.

Wood-
Henrik's signature headstock repeats the sound hole rosette on the upper middle headstock. Here is an example https://ibb.co/m8c2mb

I will post pics of the inlay when its done. My rendition will not do it justice

Bill-
I have no idea how it compares to bone, however I can't wait to find out!
