2016 Martin Custom Shop OM True North..Second Price Drop
 Wow. Here's one of the most incredible guitars I've seen in a while. Limitied to only 50 instruments, the Martin CS OM True North is built with highly figured koa back/sides and a premium grade Adirondack top with abalone purfling. The guitar's back features a spectacular compass design inlaid with flamed jarrah, Claro walnut, waterfall Bubinga, and Paua pearl. The ebony headstock veneer is inlaid with the True North design as well in solid mother of pearl. CF Maritn logo also inlaid on headstock.Hide glue construction with a dovetail neck joint. 1/4" Adirondack scalloped bracing. Ebony board with abalone inlay. Frets show only superficial wear in the first position. Ebony bridge. Slotted bone bridge pins with abalone dot. Ebony binding and end piece. Modified low oval solid mahogany neck with high performance taper. Long scale. 1 3/4" bone nut. String spacing is 2 5/32" at compensated bone saddle. Top-of-the-line gold open back Schaller tuners with koa buttons. Comes in her original issue Custom Shop hard case with shroud. All latches and hinges work perfectly. This beautiful guitar sounds as good as she looks. The Adirondack top married with the koa back and sides is a wonderful tonal combination. Like all OM models, she is versatile...able to handle any attack. I am a bare finger stylist and she responds fabulously to the lighter touch. Right there with my Froggy H-12 (also built with koa). Yes, this is one beautiful guitar with unparalleled workmanship. I've had many Martins come through my hands over the years, but never one quite like this guitar. I want to emphasize that this True North is way more than just a pretty face. The materials and build specs are top-of-the-line and she simply sounds wonderful. Someone might buy it for its collectability, but they will also be pleasantly pleased with the tonal spectrum this instrument can produce.
