Haha, you may be into something there, Dru...minus the Paisley. I have written about some personal life experiences. Thanks for the idea.

The movie is "Free Solo" and it is excellent. Like I said, I sure hope Honnold is able to survive his passion.
I’m thinking of trying it now. I have a built in safety feature, though. I’d never get far enough off the ground to hurt myself when (not if) I fall...

Fantastic! Gotta tell you for a country that's known as peaceful, Canada can play rough hockey and backs down to no one on the ice.

This might be better described as "Most Fun Personal Sports Achievement last 50 years".

I remember watching this happen live....both runs. This guy gets so many style points for the crash that winning later seemed secondary

+1. Orr had already set the Defenseman record of 64 points in a season the year before. This year he demolished it with 120 points.

Here's a great writeup on that season: https://thehockeywriters.com/bobby-o...ndmark-season/

Ugh! That is just brutal. The downhill looks so fun until it doesn't.

Dodgers Kirk Gibson's unlikely home run against the A's in the 1988 WS wasn't too shabby.

That was awesome. I even have that baseball card. Hobbled to the plate and hit a walk off HR. If Gibson had hit what would have been an easy double he would have been thrown out at first.
