Yeah both of these are amazing. I just don't need two "best guitars ever" lol. They really do sound so similar. The redwood one has a slight bump in the mid range. The spruce one is slightly flatter in the mids. Other than that, they both play great and sound great. The Macassar ebony back/sides is gorgeous. Lots of balanced lows with a bit of glassiness on the attack.
