Default My favorite ice-cream just got smaller

Tillamook brand is now 1.5 qt. (same price)
Remember when ice cream came in half gallon containers?
Then someone went to 1.75 qt., then the others all followed.

Oh yeah, our toilet paper now has over sized inner cardboard tubes.
That one is kinda sneaky.

Won't even talk about the price of a simple 2x4.

Currently (April, '21) a 2x4 is roughly $1 per foot, $8+ for an 8 footer.

You mean a 1 1/2 x 3 1/2?

Oh dang!!

Tillamook was the holdout, and I was hopeful they could/would maintain their slightly larger size compared to my other favorite brand Breyers,
that went to 1.5 many years ago.

I’ll use news this as further incentive to buy ice cream less often.

That’s just a simple way to reduce the caloric content of each tub.

I’m dieting so no ice cream but I love to eat it.
My take is simple. Give me a gallon container of my favorite flavor and brand and if you gotta’ charge me $10, I’m still buying it.
BTW, if you buy ice cream at a place that serves it, the price is way higher of course. It’s like alcohol. Do it at home, it’s cheaper..

An ice cream maker will pay for itself pretty quickly. The cusinart is under $100 on amazon. I made quite a bit of ice cream in qauratine last summer.

Interesting.
What about those shrinking rolls of TP?

I love ice cream. Now that the sub freezing temps are over I've started eating it again the past couple of weeks. Chapman's Premium Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup.... Delicious. It was on sale so I bought three, 2 liter containers (2.11 quarts).

I remember getting local made ice cream $1.00 a gallon.

Yesterday I picked up a pint ...$6.00. The flavor was disappointing.

"New and Improved"----30% more, new container etc. is always a packaging convenience and/or a price increase! I hope they don't think we're stupid, I'll still buy the product until it proves unsatisfactory.
