Kent Hamblin GC Acoustic 2005 [Madagascar Rosewood/European Spruce]
*ON SALE*
https://reverb.com/item/18789244-ken...uropean-spruce MINT Kent Hamblin Grand Concert from 2005 with Madagascar Rosewood back and sides with a European Spruce top. The previous owner must not have been much of a player as there are no signs of wear to mention to the point where this still needs some playing time to open up the sound. It is still a little bright and tight from lack of play. With Mr. Hamblin having suffered a shop injury and no longer builds, these are becoming increasingly rare and to find one in such immaculate condition is not common. Madagascar Rosewood back and sides European Spruce top Rosewood Bindings Brazilian Rosette/Soundhole Maple/Ebony Soundhole Purfling Gold Schaller Tuners with Ebony Buttons Nut Width: 1.8'' or 1 4/5 in Comes with a TKL Hardcase Kent Hamblin built his first guitar in 1991 while attending the Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery in Phoenix, Arizona. After graduating, he went to work for a large Southern California guitar manufacturer. While there, he experienced firsthand the large-scale production of finely crafted acoustic guitars. With this knowledge, he returned to Arizona to join the Phoenix Guitar Company, where he was responsible for the design and construction of a number of custom acoustic guitars. In 1995, Kent returned to Roberto-Venn as a full time instructor. Drawing on experiences in the real world, he was able to help modernize the acoustic guitar building curriculum. He left Roberto-Venn in 1998 and went to work at CFox Guitars until 2001. |
