Surprise! My CA Cargo to arrive today!
So, at the beginning of April, I ordered a CA Cargo. I ordered from Cascade Outfitters because their price was $100 lower than everyone else...for some reason, they didn't catch CA's last-minute price increase for the Cargos.
I expected it to be backordered for a long time. Cascade had told me it would be backordered til the end of May. But my first CA (when they were in their old, small factory) was on order for almost five months...so I was expecting to wait. After not hearing anything for nearly two months, I randomly went to check on my order status today. My order status: Shipped. Estimated delivery date? Today. |

Nice! Did they improve the fit of the gig bag that comes with it?
I ended up buying a Gator 3/4 size hardshell case for mine that fits pretty well. |

Never having seen one, may I ask the dimensions of these guitars, in particular, the lower bout? Also, just how round in the back?

Very cool and serendipitous that it should arrive just after you checked. I just bought one from a fellow AGFer. Mine arrived yesterday afternoon. I played it for a few minutes, then gave it to my wife, who is a much better player than I. It sounds really great from across a room.
Cheers. |

Since getting my Cargo, I bought a Little Martin gig bag for it. Fits great and its well padded.

It's beveled/cut away around the edges for comfort, as you can see in the pics. Overall, it's rounded just slightly more than you might see on acoustics that have a slight back radius. |

I have a charcoal Cargo. Yours has the carbon fiber showing through around the top edge. Mine doesn't. Cool, I like that! Enjoy!

Congratulations Tommy. You have got to be having a blast right now. I had a chance to play a Cargo in Charlotte when Jay Morrissey was here about a month ago. I really like the way they did the "fiber binding" on your guitar. That is a real sweet touch.

It gives the guitar just a nice, tasteful touch of "bling"!
