Gorgeous, mint, Michael Bashkin showpiece. This beauty was first on display at the 2015 Memphis Guitar Show, prior to residing on display at the Red Rocks Amphitheater Museum in Colorado Springs for one year. The guitar was first sold at the 2016 Santa Barbara Guitar Show. I am the second owner.

The guitar is very smooth sounding, very warm and an absolute pleasure to play. The guitar has excellent clarity across the tonal spectrum, without an abundance of overtones. My opinion is that it is because it is a light build.

The lower bout measures 15 5/16", a perfect size.

I played my Placencia (just 3 SNs away from this one) for a couple hours tonight. Pure bliss. If this had slightly wider saddle spacing it'd be mine already--if they have different tonewoods, multiple Bashkin Placencia's are justified, right? Somebody buy this, please!

Michael’s approach is holistic, merging his experience as a visual artist, a musician and a lifelong student of wood.*Michael is also a scientist whose graduate studies at Colorado State University and post-graduate research at Duke University taught him about the mechanics of wood. Rosette & headstock effect is achieved by using a marquetry technique & burning the wood in hot sand.
