Default Question about Fishman SA200 System

If I am using channel 1 for my mic and channel 2 for my acoustic guitar, is there a way to add another mic or guitar into one of the other input channels in the back, like the aux in or monitor in? This would only be in a rare situation where someone wants to come play with me for a song or two. I don't currently have a additional mixer.

thanks

I have used the aux in on the back for a guitar. Worked well enough. You don’t have the EQ or reverb options but in a pinch....

Buckle up for the ride over to Acoustic Amplification!

OK thanks. How does the Aux in differ from the monitor in?

Actually, I think they are very similar. Aux In is 1/4” TRS, Monitor In is XLR so both have balanced signal. Both have an indecent gain knob on front panel. The foot switch mute does not mute Aux in...

So in theory I could plug an extra mic into the Monitor In and
an extra guitar into the Aux In?

I use an Audio Technica wireless MIC and plug the wireless receiver into the AUX input. This works because the receiver output is LINE level.

I doubt that the aux and monitor input have preamps, and depend on line level signals. So ... maybe, for an active guitar, and no for a mic.

I tested my SA220 for the first time last night and followed the directions.....

The manual says to raise the gain up until it the red light goes on and then back it down. With my guitar plugged in, the red light comes on around 12-1 oclock. But with the mic plugged in...the red light NEVER comes on. Is this normal? It sounds fine, but how how do I raise the gain without any indicator lights?

You listen. But if you don’t get a clip light you’re probably OK. Just a thought ... do you have the -10db pad engaged?

I don't think I did, but I'll double check that
