D'Angelico EXL1. Does the job of my Breedlove acoustic and my semi-hollow body electric (which I just gave to my son). Getting ready to add Anthem pickups to expand on the floating neck mini humbucker.

Mine is not nearly as nice as some on this thread but it’s unique.
It has my name on the head stock and it is definitely NFS. Check out how deep it is.

I have three NFS Archtops - at least NFS whilst I can play, or breathe.
They are: 1968 Harmony Monterey (H1325 ) in almost perfect condition. Gibson 1934 - L-4 Eastman - AR805 (2007)

All these rigs but (especially the Johannessen) are beautiful....makes my workhorse ‘43 Epi Blackstone look like a thorn amoungst roses...it’s my pride that it plays so well sounds really good and is the only guitar I’ve ever played that felt perfect the first time every time. It was my fathers so it’s NFS for that reason alone.

I still have this guy. I haven't played it in a while. I should probably do that. |

I’ve owned way too many archtops over the years. I’ve enjoyed them all (or most of them, anyway), but they all ended up going to other homes. I have two that I will never sell, because they both belonged to my grandfather. The first is a 90’s Epiphone Emperor Joe Pass. It’s a nice guitar, and I enjoy playing it. This is the one that I’ve really bonded with though. It’s a 1959 Epiphone Century. It was made in the Gibson Kalamazoo plant and is very similar to a ES-125T, but with 25.5” scale. I love it, and it sounds exactly how I think an electric laminate archtop should.
This amp is long gone, but the guitar will never go!

The AT16 was an awesome instrument, but it was too expensive. I couldn’t relax and enjoy it as an instrument - I was always worried about it.

My 1953 L4C. True story, back in the 90's I sold it to a friend and bought it back a couple of years ago. After trying several floating pickups I wound up keeping this one made by Kent Armstrong. It's a humbucker that sounds a lot like a single coil... only quieter. I was lucky to get this guitar back because now it's the one I reach for when I want to plug in to my 5E3 home built tweed Deluxe which is often. The Deluxe with a Blue speaker is sweet and chimey at low volume. Now I'm thinking about building a tweed Vibrolux ampflifier to get more clean headroom and tighter bass.
