Things have been insanely busy at home (why am I surfing AGF??!!!), so I got approval to self-gift for the second year in a row. This year, Santa is bringing me a new Line 6 Helix LT multi-effect pedal and the accompanying Helix Native software, so I can mix up the acoustic with some electric playing and recording in 2019.

Happy holidays! And that MX-5 looks sweet... my co-worker drove one for years, and he loved it.

A new dish washer, woo-hoo! Actually, Santa brought a new Blueridge BR-180 early. He's nice that way.

I recently treated myself to an Emerald X20, and my wife has done pretty well for quilting gear this year, so I think we're done.

I like to think that because the quilting stuff cost rather more than the guitar, I have some leverage. So far, that doesn't appear to be working

I got a remote starter installed in my SUV.
Always wanted one, finally got it done.
Great to have in the winters here in Mass.
Just push a button twice from inside the house, and the car starts right up.
I let it run for 10 minutes, then go out to a nice warm car.

In our house any present of a musical nature for one becomes a present for both - we've made out very well over the years like that...

As far as this year is concerned, got something in the works - should know by the end of next week...

We call that "roped and hog tied".

Personally, I prefer the end cut.

Actually, I had to specifically request this from 'Santa': The Bose Soundwear Neck Speaker.

I tried these on while we were on vacation last summer and we were at the Bose Outlet Store. No pressure on the ears and you are enveloped by a pretty good wall of sound. It's not quite the dedicated audio room with Klipsch speakers, a vaulted ceiling, and a Thorens turntable (not to mention several hundred vinyl records), but it should fit the bill!

That's going to come in handy, AE. Make sure the night before you leave the heat cranked and the A/C off .

With a house full of kids, our short-length Navigator wasn’t cutting it anymore. We had to pawn a kid off on Nana just to get groceries. So the wife and I decided to get a bigger ride for our Christmas present to each other.

Great thread in that I hadn’t considered self gifting until now.

My wife’s birthday is the day after Christmas...the worst day of the year to be born. I’m trying to convince her that the long overdue refrigerator, dishwasher, range and microwave we just purchased could cover her for both Christmas and her birthday. No such luck.

I do have my eye on a 12 string on Reverb that could come in handy.....

I have a similar situation in May. Mother’s Day, my wife’s birthday and then 4 days later, our anniversary. It’s a wallet emptying month for me!!LOL

I didn’t mention that our sons birthday is Christmas Day. Yes, a financial killer!

Yep, I have the same thing. I call it "The Gauntlet." But my wife also has my birthday, our anniversary, and father's day within three weeks.
