Recommend a tenor ukulele from this Guitar Center inventory ($200 budget)
Got a gift card for Guitar Center for Christmas and I'm going to get a tenor uke. I have a $200 budget. Can you guys take a look at the choices on the link below and let me know what you think the best bang for the buck is?

I got this one....Lanikai-CKCGC-Concert-Ukulele....from GC a while back. It's a little over what you want to spend, but it was the best of them all that I tried out there.
Don't bother with the hundred dollar ukes. They were playable but strictly for beginners. (Oops...you said a TENOR uke. My bad.) Last edited by sweiss; 12-30-2014 at 08:37 PM.

First criteria- Look for the word SOLID in the description of the wood or at least the top. It usually makes all the difference in the world for tone.
Try to avoid "made in China." Almost any other country does a better job. My first one was a Mitchell MU70 just because I got it cheap. It sounds OK and plays well. I have a couple of Gretsch ukes. I got them with defects from mild to wild. Nice wood, BUT it doesnt seem to be stable. Get the extended warranty if you get one of them. Anything you find will probably just have cheap strings on it so get a set of Aquila strings and put a bigger smile on your face.  -SP
