This always seems strange to me. I have been playing since 1957 and never has a glossy finish on the neck seemed sticky to me. Just the opposite, they feel fast and slippery to me.

Sometimes in the summer when I was a 20 something I had to put a little baby powder on the back of the neck of my Guild D-55. Before doing anything you might want to try the powder first.

It's a fast, slippery and strange world out there.

Let it cure and it won't be sticky. I have 5 Gibson guitars and you need some patience and time. Please don't ruin a classic guitar!
