Default Taylor Purchase

I just bought a solid black Taylor 214CE DLX. It is a fine sounding guitar. I didn't care for the Elixir strings that came on it, so today I put a set of D'Addario EJ-16's on it as they are my favorite strings. Now I like the guitar even more!

Congrats on your new Taylor!....

Sorry, I couldn't help myself. [emoji16] I picked up a 214ce-k dlx before Christmas. Such an easy playing guitar with nicely balanced tone. I wish it was a little louder though.

I didn't mind the elixir strings that came on it, but have been really liking the Daddario XT's I put on a couple week ago. I ordered some Daddario Nickel Bronze to try next.

Congrats. Are the D’Addarios brighter or darker?

I am a big D'Addario fan myself and put a set of EJ-16's on the Taylor as soon as I got it. Today I was experimenting and put a set of extra light EJ-15's on it. I didn't think it was possible, but I am now more in love with the guitar than I was. The extra lights sound awesome on it.

A little brighter and more comfortable. Personally, I don't think D'Addarios can be beat. Today I strung it with a set of extra light EJ-15's and I think it sounds better than ever! I know that sounds unusual, but they sound very, very good on this guitar.

I traded in my Blueridge 160A for it and I am very happy!
