FOR SALE OR TRADE: Ken Franklin Sapele "Wiley" Cutaway SOUNDS AS GOOD AS IT LOOKS!
FOR SALE or trade is my handmade custom "Wiley" cutaway made in 2007 by small shop luthier Ken Franklin in Ukiah, CA. He makes some of the most gorgeous and playable guitars around in VERY limited quantities and each one is unique. This one is an amazing example in absolutely pristine condition. Comes with top level Ameritage case and fitted with a Fishman pickup (which I'm happy to remove if you don't want that). Recently set up by the legendary Fred Walecki so it plays perfectly. Happy to send some sound or video clips of guitar upon request.

He has a powerful bass voice. I usually build with Italian Spruce. This was a Sitka top, so I wanted to enhance the bass end a little with some extra variation in top thickness, but I didn't expect this! At the Healdsburg Guitar Festival players would come up and drag their fingers across the strings at the soundhole and then step back, not quite believing what they heard. It's a wonderful sound, at home with ragtime and bluegrass. Wiley is just a lot of fun to play. No pretenses."
