Default Knoxville area guitar shops?

Hi Folks,

The wifey and I are heading out to the area next month to check out where to retire. Hoping to land somewhere outside of Knoxville.

Would love to be able to visit a couple shops, if possible!

Thanks for any advice!

In Serivelle Tennessee you have the Music Outlet. It’s about a 45 minute drive east of Knoxville. They have a great collection of Martin Taylors Gibsons taks and other brands. They also honor the 40% off of MSRP on Martin’s. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, it’s a family run store

And, in your travels, If you happen to run across a pre-reimagined Martin D 35 with Ambertone finish let me know :-)

Nashville is a straight shot down i-40 from Knoxville... I always
wanted to visit Carter's Vintage Guitars. There's a Knoxville
suburbs town called Maryville... a guy named Dudenbostel
is a luthier there, he makes super martin-flavored guitars.
His web site says you can visit sometimes if you call first...
I've only seen Dudenbostel guitars on the web, I'd love
to visit his shop. If you want to live in the country look
around near Vonore. I love 360 from Tellico Plains to Vonore...

Thanks MBroady and Mike!

Keep my eyes out for that D35!

Mike, we did the Nashville area on our last visit, so sticking to the Knoxville area this time. Funny, Maryville was a town we were looking at. I'll definitely check out the Dudenbostel site.

Last time I was there there was a tiny, appointment-only vintage and used guitar shop on Kingston Pike just east of Bearden called Campbell's Music Room Guitars. The address is 5103 Kingston Pike Knoxville, TN 37919 phone 865-584-0041. Their Facebook page is HERE.

It is right near my family's home.
