I need a luthier to troubleshoot and replace a LR Baggs Element pickup in my Emerald X20 (carbon fiber) guitar. Any recommendations? Thanks.

There is no real troubleshooting the Element. The undersaddle pickup is hard wired to the end pin connector so a complete replacement is required. All of the hard work has already been done. If you are good with your hands you should be able to remove and replace the entire unit with little problem.

I installed the LR Baggs Tru-Mic system (under saddle pickup plus mike, preamp and battery) into a X20 that was not electrified. The only problem I had was getting the double sided tape to stick. You won’t have that problem as the wire “clamps” are already installed.

PM me if you need any help.

Thanks, for the info and the offer to help. I hope to have the replacement pickup in the next week or so.
